You Belong in the Room

A new role or an invitation to contribute can bring a quiet fear: what if they realize I am still learning? You Belong in the Room helps you describe your contribution fairly, identify real skill gaps, and participate without bluffing or waiting for perfect confidence. Coach Jeremy's seven flexible stages include lessons, fictional examples, worksheets, small trials, and reviews. You will practice accepting accurate credit, defining task requirements, asking useful feedback questions, and noticing access problems. Written for Filipino adult professionals, this educational coaching workbook respects privacy, professional limits, and the need for appropriate support.

You can know your work and still hesitate when someone asks you to speak, accept credit, or try an unfamiliar task. You Belong in the Room offers a practical way to examine that hesitation without pretending every concern is mistaken or every workplace is welcoming.

Across seven flexible stages, Coach Jeremy helps you separate an invitation from the fear of being exposed, credit your contribution without denying help, and replace sweeping judgments with specific learning needs. You will examine demanding rules about competence, define what a routine task actually requires, and prepare an honest contribution within your role.

Later stages focus on requesting useful feedback and distinguishing a skill gap from missing access or unfair conditions. The book does not ask you to bluff, make a public confession, confront an unsafe person, or accept work beyond your competence. It keeps legitimate standards and the right to seek support in view.

Each stage includes two lessons, a fictional worked example, an original worksheet, a small practical trial, and a review. Private rehearsal is available when a suitable live opportunity is absent. An optional 30 day plan supports a lighter rhythm of learning and participation.

Written for Filipino adult professionals, the workbook uses recognizable work situations while leaving your circumstances and choices your own. This is CBT-informed educational coaching, not diagnosis, psychotherapy, or a validated assessment. The title expresses dignity and legitimate participation; it does not guarantee institutional fairness or permanent confidence.
